Modules

Integrated Library System

Integrated Library System is combined with the following main functions -

  • Library Management System

  • Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Web Portal

  • e-Resource Management System

  • Integration with Union Catalog of Myanmar

  • Visitors and Member management system

  • Integration with Digital Signage

  • Integration with Big Data Smart wall

  • Integration with Self check machine

  • Integration with RFID library (hand held reader, workstation, RFID tagging, barcode printing, RFID gate, barcode reader)

Library Management System

Koha Library Management system is a full-featured open-source Integrated Library System (ILS). This ILS is open-source software, customizable web-based interfaces, full MARC support (MARC21 and UNIMAC). Requirements of book acquisition, reservation management, book cataloguing, search, book circulation, user authentication, user interface, reporting, data analysis, authorities, library administrative works, data storage format, and Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC) format. LMS includes a Z39.50 server and it can do for data interchange of the client. Requirements of book acquisition, reservation management, book cataloguing, search, book circulation, user authentication, user interface, reporting, data analysis, authorities, library administrative works, data storage format, and Machine-Readable Cataloging (MARC) format.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Web Portal

OPAC Web Portal enhances the efficiency of users search in library catalog principally to locate books and other material available at a library.

This portal has News about the Literary world, Books, and publishers. The backend component is fully controlled by file management, image galleries, library, news, and other portal features.

E-Resource Management System

e-Resource Management system is designed to assist librarians with the acquisition and management of electronic resources.

Public user can search easily the resources to Digital format so that the library materials can be read in e-resources and can use as gateway to digital and electronic information. And also, could be manage the e-resource permission, as per following factors –

  • Abstract

  • Contents

  • Partial Chapter

  • Whole document

  • Read Only

  • Downloadable

Union Catalogue System

The purpose of this system is to make it available for the public to search all resources and books from libraries around the country in one place. As the use of digital systems emerges, libraries around the country become to transform into E-Library system which allows the public to search resources from the E-Library system without having to go to the library. But the drawback of standalone e-library system is that the users need to surf through the library systems of different libraries until they found the resource they need. By using Union Catalogue System, users can easily know where to get the resource they need in one click. This system uses RESTful API to fetch data from API servers of different library systems. If you want your library to be able to search from Union Catalogue, you need to have an API server that follows our API standard, after that we will put your library into our servers list which makes resources from your library to be able to search through Union Catalogue System.

Visitor and Member Management System

The purpose of this system is to record visitors and patrons coming to Library without having to type or click. To achieve that we use Mifare Cards as a patron member card to store patron information and then scan that card when the patron comes to the library. The application is also used to read/write information from Mifare Cards.

Digital Signage

With this system, visitors who enter the library can easily know where they can get their desired resources. Digital Signage System in Integrated Library Solutions can show the floor plan of the library building with descriptions. It's an interactive system that allows visitors to access detailed information about each room inside the building in one click. With this system, visitors will never feel that they get lost in the library.

Big Data Smart Wall

The first thing a reader or visitor who enters a library wants to know might be the trending or new arrival books. Our Smart Wall System can show that kind of information by integrating with our Integrated Library System. And also the library management team can easily show the announcements with video in Smart Wall. If the system is integrated with our Visitor Management System, it can also show the live data of visitors and patrons who are currently inside the building.  Other useful information like monthly and yearly total visitors, number of resources in the library can also be shown in the Smart Wall.

Integration with RFID Library

  1. UHF mobile™ DLA
  2. RFID workstation
  3. UHF Gate
  4. UHF Tagging with UHF stick tags
  5. Barcode Printer
  6. Barcode Reader

UHF mobile ™ DLA

The bibliotheca UHF mobile™ DLA (Digital Library Assistant) Handheld device allows library staff to quickly and easily conduct item inventory tasks, such as checking the shelf order, identifying missing items and finding specific items within the library stock.

RFID workstation

The RFID workstation is used with a customer supplied computer and software to read and/or program ISO RFID Tags.

The UHF workstation allows library staff to process multiple items at a time, helping users check-in and checkout materials, when needed. This is also valuable when processing bulk materials that have been returned in a book drop or collected from another branch.

UHF gate

As UHF technology is designed for long range reading, we’ve refined our UHF antennas to perform better in the library environment by only detecting items that pass through the threshold. This fine-tuned detection safeguards your collection, as you will always be warned of potential theft without false alarms of stationary nearby items.

The UHF gate has an integrated bi-directional people counter that helps staff analyze both inbound and outbound library traffic patterns.

UHF Tagging with UHF stick tags

The UHF stick tags are stickers with metal components in between protective layers. There are    single and double-sided UHF stick tags. UHF tags should go a few pages from the front or back cover whenever possible and keep the tag within the borders.

Barcode Printer

Barcode printer is used for label printing applications with excel file format if there has license for device which have normally one or two print per time. This device needs to connect with BarTender IDE with excel data.

Barcode Reader

Barcode reader performs the scanning barcode connecting with library management system when the user wants to check out the book from library and also check in to library.

Integration with selfCheck

The selfCheck 1000 is provided a self-service machine integrated with library management system that would simplify the lives of both library staff and its user to process the main functions like RFID check out process, Barcode only check out process, Check in process, Web Admin process, Edit language and promotions. Library user need to scan a valid patron card using the kiosk’s barcode scanner, place the library card (BARCODE UP) under the scanline, tap library card against the card reader and place the items(books) on the scan bed to check-out. Place all the RFID items being returned on to the kiosk antenna when user come back to complete check in process.
